Context

A critical business application still running on PHP 5.6, used by fifteen regional agencies whose data remained siloed. Each agency produced its own extracts, reprocessed by hand.

What was done

Complete framework rebuild

Migration from PHP 5.6 to Symfony 4 — not an upgrade, a rebuild on a maintained framework, with full functional parity.

Consolidation

Data from all fifteen regional agencies consolidated into a single repository.

Reporting

Real-time dashboards with graphical output via Chart.js.

Automation

Automated CSV import and processing pipeline handling over 10,000 rows per day.

Outcome

Five hours per week returned to business teams, previously spent on manual reprocessing.

What this project demonstrates

Work on a critical system of the French public employment service, under continuity and reliability obligations — the earliest reference of this kind in my career, and the one that sets the standard.
