OuestGo is the carpooling platform deployed across the Brittany region on behalf of Mégalis Bretagne, a public inter-municipal cooperation body. A public service in production, with the constraints that come with it: no downtime, no regressions.
Delivered as a subcontractor over eight months.
Scope
Core framework migration
- REST API migrated from Symfony 4 to Symfony 6
- API Platform migrated from version 2 to version 3
Two major jumps on a live application, with the breaking changes that implies for serialisation, security and configuration.
Corrective maintenance
Critical and major bug fixing directly in production, on a service used daily across an entire region.
Infrastructure
Runtime infrastructure optimisation.
What this project demonstrates
The ability to take over an existing public sector platform, modernise its foundations without interrupting service, and work as a subcontractor within an established chain of responsibility.
